City of Raleigh utility bills are issued monthly.
Deposits & Fees – A $50.00 service initiation fee per meter applies whenever services are started. A $50.00 deposit will apply if the account holder is a new customer who has never had services with the City of Raleigh. All applicable fees, charges and deposits will be billed on the first bill.
To prevent accidental flooding or a delay in your services being started, be sure all faucets are off and sink/tub stoppers are open. The City of Raleigh is not liable for any damage caused by the failure to close (turn off) the water fixture or the failure to open the sink/tub stoppers.
Please allow 24-48 business hours for your request to be processed. If you need to cancel or change the date of this request once submitted, please contact the business office at 919-996-3245 during normal business hours of 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday excluding holidays) at least 24 hours in advance to avoid possible service delays and additional charges. We do not provide same day service.
No user of the City’s sewer system shall contribute or cause to be contributed into the sewer system any pollutant or waste which causes interference or pass through with the City’s wastewater treatment system. Certain commercial and industrial users may be required to obtain permits and/or pay additional fees and charges for use of the City’s sewer system. Please see Article C of the City of Raleigh’s Code of Ordinances for additional information regarding these requirements.
